Full Job Description

We are seeking a proficient website developer that will contribute to the day to day running of our high-paced graphic and web design studio in Thurles.

Requirements

  • Work well within a team to design bespoke websites using WordPress CMS, WooCommerce and Elementor.
  • Have a strong understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL with a creative UX/UI mindset.
  • Administer and manage cPanel configurations, and collaborate with hosting providers to align cPanel settings with website requirements.
  • Perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal website performance and stability.
  • Monitor website health, plugins, themes, and database to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Implement best practices for robust security measures to protect against vulnerabilities, hacks, and malware.
  • Conduct security audits and implement necessary security patches and updates to maintain a secure WordPress environment.
  • Analyse website performance metrics and implement strategies such as image optimisations to enhance website speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to WordPress installations, plugins, themes, and custom code.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday in studio 9am – 5:45pm

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Thurles, Tipperary.
